Including Categories into Event Permalinks

Hello,

I run a series of Meetups across the country. Currently in Houston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Antonio. I use Events Calendar PRO to showcase upcoming Meetups on the homepage.

Whenever I create an event, by default it is assigned the following permalink:

/events/[eventname]

But instead of permalinks defaulting to the /events/ folder, I’d like for the permalinks to look like this instead, organized by city:

/[city]/[eventname]

How can I go about accomplishing this?

Changing the events permalink structure is not something possible without doing some custom coding.

And, as you will find in the following article it is a best practice to use “Post Name” option > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/
