ParticipantHello, Modern Tribe –
I just purchased the Event Aggregator license, and I’m getting the feel for it.
Of couse, this is right after Facebook changed all their privacy rules, so I can’t always tell where the problem lies…This morning (and apparently starting about 16 hours ago; maybe around 7pm Eastern yesterday) I’m seeing a lot of failures in my scheduled imports. And I’m trying to do a one-time import that is failing to generate a preview.
Is this a problem on your end?
What is the Facebook event import workflow? Does it go through a channel/platform that Modern Tribe is managing? Do you have any kind of uptime monitor that I can refer to, to see if the problem is on my end or on yours?
Thanks

ParticipantHey guys –
My imports have resumed working properly within the past hour.
Even better, they are now importing the event images, too. So thanks for fixing that. The one question left, is whether there is a Status Update / Outage Report page available for the Event Aggregator.
Thanks for letting me know.

MemberHi James!
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been impacted by those issues. Let me help you with this.
Similar to what you say, there are two parts working together in the Event Aggregator system. One is on your end, built-in with The Events Calendar plugin, and the other in our Event Aggregator servers.
I can confirm that we’ve recently experienced some issues with our Event Aggregator servers that might have cause delays when previewing your imports as well as failed imports.
We’ve just released a fix to address this issue, so things should be back to normal. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Please try your imports again and let us know if they work on your end.
In regards to the recent Facebook changes to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) some Facebook imports that previously worked are not currently possible. Further details can be found in the following article > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/
Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
Best,
