ParticipantOk, so this has me stumped… I created a new event in our Google calendar and set the recurrence for “the 1st Tuesday of each Month”. This shows up correctly in the Google calendar.
I go to Events Calendar, iCal import, select a 30 minute recurrence and fill in the details:
iCal URL: My private Google Calendar link
Keywords: Blank
Location: Blank
Radius: Default (No radius)
Date: 1/1/2015 (I want all events, including those in the past)I hit search and presto — I see all of the events from 1/1/2015 to present. Looks good!
I hit save recurring import and……. uh-oh, only a SINGLE event is imported. I check the events list and only the event from 1/1/2015 is imported, none of the others! But, I just saw them in the search list!!
Had it imported only the most recent event and later, I could understand… Had it applied the recurrence settings from Google calendar over to this event, even better… But no, only a single event was imported.
What am I missing?

MemberHi Justin,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help out here.
I was looking into this myself and tried with recurring event in Google Calendar.
I actually only see the first instance of that recurring in the import list and cannot get anything else to show there.
I am not sure exactly what is wrong, but I am looking into.
Can you share your ical link as a private reply so I can use it for testing?
Let me know.
Thanks

MemberHi,
Thanks for providing the link.
From looking at the ics file created by the link the recurring events are set to go until August 4th 2015. Does that sound correct?
I also was able to see all the events from January to August and do a one time import to get them all.
However, the recurring import option only imports the 1 event as you mentioned. So I am looking into why it is doing that.
Also, the \n is being taken out because WordPress does not respect that. If you add it into any post or page content it will not create a new line at least from the tests I did in a couple themes.
I will let you know what I found out about the recurring import as soon as I have something later today.
Thanks

MemberHi,
I wanted to give you an update on this.
Unfortunately, it looks like there is a bug with the recurrence events and recurring imports and it does not want to import all the events.
For the link you sent I was able to get around it, but manually importing all the events.
We are looking into it to resolve.
Thanks

MemberHi Justin,
We are looked into the issue, but have not found a solution yet.
Unfortunately, we do not have a timeline when one might be fixed.
I understand this can be a deal breaker and we can offer you a refund.
To request a refund please follow our policy outlined here:
And we can take care of it.
As for the iCal Importer, it does work on single event imports if you can use that as a work around for now.
Sorry for not having better news.
