Importing portfolio items with custom date field as calendar entries

Hi there,

We’re working on a tour company website, using the Salient WordPress theme. The tours are all set up as portfolio posts, with a custom field added for ‘start date’. We would like to import these into The Events Calendar (we have PRO), as events. When a user clicks on a tour in the calendar, it should take them to that portfolio post (not a standard Event Calendar entry).

Is this possible? If not, could you recommend a dev that is able to do this?

Hi, Eric. Thanks for your interest in our plugin suite.

Our free The Events Calendar plugin includes a CSV importer so you could export the data to CSV/Excel and edit it as necessary (such as to also set an end time), then import the prepared CSV: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/csv-files-options-and-examples/

Once you get that data imported, you could upgrade to one of our paid add-ons if you so choose.

Last but not least, we have Bundles and a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
