Hello, I am still having the same issue on importing events from google calendars. When I import I can see the preview and then after selecting the events to import it just keeps sitting at 1 percent. It will stay at 1 percent for days. Please help!!! I have been trying to get these calendars imported for a couple of weeks now. Are you working on fixing the issue?

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to us! I’d be happy to help you šŸ™‚

Could you give me the link to the Google Calendar you’re trying to import, so I could test it locally?

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremy

The link is https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/calendar%40hfcscda.org/public/basic.ics and it is set to a public calendar.

I’m also trying to import the google holiday calendar and the link to that is https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/en.usa%23holiday%40group.v.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

    Thank-you for your help!

    Hello,
I thought that I would bring up that the licence for event aggregator was purchased under a different account. Could that be the problem? If so, how do I put the licence for event aggregator under my account? We are a school and it was purchased under another user of the school, but it’s all the same account.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing those links.

Do you have that “staying at 1 percent” issue with both links? I tried to import those calendars, I had no problem with the first one you gave me, but couldn’t import the holidays calendar. Could you verify the URL is correct?

The fact the Aggregator License belongs to someone else shouldn’t be a problem, as long as the issue is valid.

Also, did you try to import those calendars with all your other plugins deactivated? And did you try with the default theme (Twenty Seventeen)? (you can read our documentation about testing for conflicts here).

    Cheers,
    Jeremy

Hi, I tried the imports after updating your plugins and my issue is still not resolved. It doesn’t sit at 1 percent anymore though, it just doesn’t import. The school calendar import (the first one) that you said you tried with no problem did not import any events.

I have tried de-activing all plugins and going to the twenty seventeen theme with no luck. If you cannot fix this issue I would like a refund for the filter bar and event aggregator please. Do you think you can get this fixed?

    Hi,

There might be something wrong with this Event Aggregator license; I will need to check it. As it’s under another account, I can’t see it. Could you please give the number of that license key? (in a private reply).

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeremy

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi There!

Just wanted to share with you that a new release of our plugins is out, where we included a newĀ Import Process System setting that allows you to select whether you want your imports to be processed Asynchronously or using the cron-based system. You can find this setting under Events > Settings > Imports tab under theĀ Global Import SettingsĀ section.

If you were experiencing problems with your imports, please try using the cron-based system.

Also, if you were using the code snippet to use the cron-based imports system, please remove it and use this setting instead.

Additionally, we added an option to stop and clear all current asynchronous import processes by using theĀ Stop current processesĀ option.

You can find out more about this release → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-for-the-week-of-9-september-2018/

We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience while we worked on this.

As always, we suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can make all plugin updates without disrupting the live site.

Please update the plugins and let us know if the fix works for your site.

    Best,
    Victor
