GuestThanks for the changes in importing events, but did I miss the part about now only being able to import a single facebook event at a time? I used to be able to import a group of them – one on each line, just using the event number…

MemberHi Don,
Thanks for getting in touch! If you’re using Event Aggregator to import your events, you should be able to import multiple Facebook events at once much as you did before! Simply select “Facebook” as the Import Origin for your import, choose “One-Time Import” for Import Type, and enter the Facebook group or page URL in the “URL” field provided. After clicking “Preview”, you’ll be shown a list of events that are available to be imported, from which you can choose which specific events you’d like to bring in.
You can read more about importing and managing events with Event Aggregator on our Knowledgebase here! Feel free to give it a look over, and let us know if you should have any other questions–we’d be glad to assist!
Thank you! 🙂

GuestThanks, Caroline. I am specifically asking about single events. I used to be able to make a list of events from different facebook groups and import them as a list in one step. Now it looks like I have to copy the url, preview it, and then start over.
You’re talking about a single group and choosing from that group’s available events.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

MemberHi Don,
Ah, thanks for clarifying the issue here! In this case, you’re right–we don’t yet have a solution in place for one-time imports of this type. However, we do offer a migration tool for bringing recurring imports and settings from Facebook Events into Event Aggregator, which you may find helpful in transitioning to our new format! You can read more about migrating with this tool on our Knowledgebase here.
That said, I’m sorry that I can’t offer a better solution for your multi-source imports at this time! If you should have a moment, we’d love to have you submit a feature request over on our UserVoice page for Event Aggregator. Our dev team would certainly be glad to consider any requested functionality for a future update!
Thanks again, and let me know if you should have any other questions!

GuestHi All,
I’m trying to use the new Aggretator and am having troubles. For example, I go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/8812028532/ and try to add it to the system, but it doesn’t see any of the four events clearly listed there. Am I missing something?Don.

ParticipantI believe you need to go to the events section of that group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/8812028532/events/
Good luck!

GuestNice idea, but that doesn’t seem to work, even though there are events listed.
When I did this before using the earlier version, everything worked fine. Now I have almost no events being imported.
Sad.

MemberHi Don,
Oh no–I’m so sorry to hear you’re having some trouble here! Unfortunately, we’re not able to take a closer look here in pre-sales, but our team members over in premium support would be more than glad to assist. Would you mind logging into your account with us and creating a new thread over in our Event Aggregator forum section? Someone will be right over to answer the call! 😉
Thank you, and we’ll see you there!

GuestLooks on the forum that you all are having a lot of problems with EA. Is my problem already reported? Should I just wait it out?
Is there a way to go back to an earlier release? The older version was slow, but it worked.
Don.

MemberHi Don,
We do have a number of fixes for Event Aggregator slated for our next maintenance release, though I’m afraid we’re unable to provide an ETA for that release at present. If you’d like to downgrade to an earlier version, you can access downloads for previous versions of our plugins from your account’s Downloads page.
Again, I’m so sorry for the trouble–we appreciate your patience for the time being! As many issues can appear alike even on very different site configurations, it’s possible that we may be able to provide a solution to your specific problem. We hope you’ll consider reaching out to us on our Event Aggregator forums if you haven’t already!
Thanks, and we hope to see you there!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
