Import Google Calendar – creating multiple entries of same events

Hi there,

We just released a hotfix for the Google Calendar duplicates issue introduce in our recently released maintenance version 4.5.12.

In the release notes linked above you’ll find a plugin to help out removing the duplicated events 🙂

Please let me know if the fix works as expected and the helper plugin gets things back to normal.

I just installed the update and the remove duplicates plugin. I ran an import but it did not remove the duplicates – I have over 2000.

Please advise.

Thanks for following up and sorry to hear about the duplicates being still there 🙁

Just to clarify the plugin in the release notes will probably just help with duplicates caused by the punctual bug fixed in the release. For other cases then a ‘duplicate posts cleaner’ plugin like this one: Delete Duplicate Posts.

I recommend doing a back up of the site database before running any of plugin or script that cleans up content from the site.
