ICS are showing as empty calendars

I am having a weird issue, I have downloaded events from our old Calendar solution as an ICS file. I can successfully load the ICS into my Apple Calendar but when I upload the ICS to the iCal some show blank.

A few of the calendars imported correctly but others don’t show any events at all. I just see a message that says “Your search returned no results. Please adjust your search.”

Any ideas. I attached an ICS that I know has events in it.

I copied the .ics link provided and pasted it into my iCal search field. It fetched a total of 46 events. Can you confirm if this number is correct? Also, I see you checked ‘Yes’ to reverting back to the default WP theme and deactivate all plugins other than ours as outlined in our Testing for conflicts guide, but can you please confirm this? To clarify, are you having trouble fetching the events or actually importing them once you’ve selected the items you wish to import?

Hi Hunter, well that is good to hear. Some ICS files work while others report that no events were found in the feed. The issue is not the actual import process it is trying to get The Events Calendar to see the events in the feed.

I did disable everything and switch to a WP Default theme but I can try it again. Any other thoughts?

Hey Joe,

It looks like you’re running quite a few plugins, so there might be some kind of timeout issue or conflict going on. If you want, provide a few more .ics files and I’ll see if I can reproduce the issue once more. One last thing: do you see any similarities between the files that import correctly and incorrect? E.g. the .ics files having troubles importing have on average more events than the .ics files which import correctly.
