GuestHello
I would like to know if Event Aggregator can handle icloud calendars like this one:
webcal://p02-calendars.icloud.com/published/2/XXXXXXXXXXxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
As long as i don’t know the diference between ical and icloud calendars, i need to confirm before i buy the plugin.
Thank you

MemberHi Jaime,
Thanks for reaching out! I’m happy to report that you can import from this type of calendar URL using Event Aggregator. Apple’s iCloud service uses the iCalendar standard for powering its calendars–simply select “iCalendar” for your Import Origin when importing from your iCloud calendars, and you’ll be on your way. For more information on importing from feeds of this type, check out our Knowledgebase documentation here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/import-from-feed-or-url/
I hope that helps to get you started! Thanks again, and please don’t hesitate to follow up if you should have any other questions! 🙂

GuestThanks for your answer.
I got some more questions:
1. To embed a calendar feed on a page, do i need Events Calendar Pro to get the shortcodes? Or can i do it with the Events Calendar free + Aggregator?
I need to display 4 different calendars in list mode, in different pages with more content, and it is not clear to me if it is enough with buying Aggregator only or i need The Events Calendar Pro also.
2. The license is for one year. Does it mean that after one year the importing from iCloud calendars will stop working if i don’t purchase a new license?
Thank you again

MemberHi Jaime,
Thanks for following up! No problem–I’m more than glad to take any additional questions you might have! 🙂
To embed a calendar feed on a page, do i need Events Calendar Pro to get the shortcodes? Or can i do it with the Events Calendar free + Aggregator?
Shortcodes such as the [tribe_events] shortcode, which allows for embedding of full calendar views into posts or pages, are exclusive to Events Calendar PRO. If you’re interested in using these shortcodes on your site, you’ll need to purchase licensing for Events Calendar PRO in addition to Event Aggregator.
The license is for one year. Does it mean that after one year the importing from iCloud calendars will stop working if i don’t purchase a new license?
New Event Aggregator licenses include one year of service, updates, and premium support, beginning on your original date of purchase. After one year, you’ll lose your access to our premium forums for technical support, and any import tasks that you’ve scheduled will be put on pause. Happily, you can renew your existing licensing at any time before or after your first year is up, so there’s no need to purchase a new license each time! For more information on license renewals, check out our Knowledgebase article here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/renewing-your-license/
Let me know if you should have any other questions or concerns here! Cheers, and thanks again!
