ParticipantAfter importing all events via iCal importer the event start time are showing wrong. They show a start time of 12:00am for all events. See attachments. Is this a bug? Or do I have something configured wrong somewhere?
Please advise

ModeratorReynaldo,
Thank you for reaching out and sorry to see you here under the circumstances. I’d be happy to try and replicate the problem for you. If you wouldn’t mind, reply back with the iCal url you’re attempting to import and I’ll see if I experience the same behavior. Also, can you please see if you can replicate the issue after reviewing our Testing for conflicts guide and reply back with your findings?
Thanks again and I look forward to getting this resolved. Have a great Friday 🙂

ModeratorHello,
Thank you for sending those over. Before we go too much further, I see you’re running an outdated version of Events Calendar PRO (4.2.4). Are you able to update to the latest version (4.2.6) and reproduce the issues as explained in our Testing for conflicts guide?
I did a quick check to try and reproduce the issue, but it appears the date/times are importing for me correctly. (see screenshots below)
The time in first screenshot (imported the event into Google Calendars) reflects the two hour time difference between Chicago and my local timezone. The second screenshot reflects the event imported into my local WP testing site and properly converts the timezone.

Please let me know if you are able to reproduce the behavior after updating and reviewing the Testing for conflicts guide. Cheers!

ParticipantThanks for your reply. I since upgraded to 4.2.6. But now I am encountering a different problem. When I try to setup a new calendar import I get “Your search returned no results. Please adjust your search.”
I checked the google calendar on the live website and it clearly shows events in the future.
What could be the problem?
See screenshot

ModeratorHello,
It appears in the screenshot you shared that you might need to select the ‘Source’ dropdown and select ‘iCal URL’ rather than ‘ics File’. Try it out and see if it fetches events as designed. Please ensure you’ve deactivated your custom theme and all plugins other than ours if you run into any troubles.
Let me know the results of your testing and we’ll continue investigating. Have a good day 🙂

ParticipantI tried it both ways. The screen shot was from my attempt to upload. Neither works and renders same results.
Very Frustating

ParticipantUPDATE: I have deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to twenty sixteen and STILL can not get it to import. It gives me the the error below. At a loss as to why.
Suggestions before I give up?

ModeratorWelcome back,
I’m at a bit of a loss here as I’m able to copy/paste any URL you provided and fetch events into both my Google Calendar app and my test WordPress site using the default WP theme and the iCal Importer plugin. Below are the results from copy/pasting this URL into the ‘Source’ URL field: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/barringtonhills-il.gov_r3hhuc18sf5hjpokj9ci2ik13s%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

All of this leads me to believe there is an issue somewhere, whether it be your hosting provider, WP setup, etc. Are you able to set up a test environment on your local computer or a subdomain using only the default WP theme and the iCal Importer plugin to see if you can replicate the issue? You might need to review this KB article on using your license for a test and live environment.
I have a feeling this will help figure the issue out once and for all, so please let me know if it’s a possibility and what the results are. Thanks for working with me on the issue and have a good rest of the day.
