GuestHello,
We are using Events Calendar across several sites – but don’t feel the need to use the pro version yet. We are interested in purchasing the iCal Importer to import from these calendars but I have a few questions:
- Does the Events Calendar offer an ical feed that is automatically updated? I’ve only seen the “Export Month’s Events” button located below a calendar but would like to have an automated process of importing events from other calendars.
- If the above is possible, do we just enter the URL for the iCal Importer? Is there a demo of the iCal Importer that I can see?
Thank you for your help in advance.

MemberHi there Chris,
Thanks for getting in touch with us, and for your interest in our products 🙂
1. Does the Events Calendar offer an ical feed that is automatically updated? I’ve only seen the “Export Month’s Events” button located below a calendar but would like to have an automated process of importing events from other calendars.
Yeah, that feed in fact is generated on the fly this means that if you add an event it will display in the feed right away. So you can subscribe to that feed, which’s date range can be modified with a simple snippet.
2. If the above is possible, do we just enter the URL for the iCal Importer? Is there a demo of the iCal Importer that I can see?
It’s quite simple, you can create a one time import or a scheduled one (hourly, daily, weekly, etc) to keep importing events automatically. You can see the demo in the products page → https://theeventscalendar.com/product/ical-importer/. Also, while we don’t have a trial period, you can go ahead and purchase the products for testing. If you decide they are not what you are looking for, you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. For more information take a look at our refund policy.
One final note, we are close to launching Event Aggregator a new service which will take imports to the next level. If you purchase an iCal importer license, you’ll be granted free access to the new service in order to transition to it when it’s released 🙂
Hope that helps, please let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you,
Best,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
