iCAL ics export opens 1 hour ahead in Outlook, Google Cal export is correct.

Using The Events Calendar, when someone with Outlook clicks on an event with the iCAL export, the time enters their Outlook calendar an hour ahead even though their settings are set to Los Angeles in their Outlook settings and the event itself is set to Los Angeles time zone.

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. This is actually a known issue that is being worked on. The problem is a result of Microsoft doing things outside of the “iCal” standard.

As a possible workaround, can you try setting your site’s timezone to “utc based” instead of “city based” as we normally recommend?

I will attach this thread to the bug ticket, and we will follow up with you here when we have a fix available for this.
