Hello,
I am trying to use this iCal feed with my calendar and I keep getting the message “Unable to retrieve content from the provided URL.” The URL was previously in the iCal importer and was working but was accidentally deleted and now I am not able to resubmit it.
The feed is http://www.bsdvt.org/modules/calendar/exportICal.php?oc_id%5B%5D=15272
When I use this validator: http://severinghaus.org/projects/icv/ it says it is a valid URL and when I put it into the Apple Calendar App it works as it should.
Any ideas as to why this is happening?

Thanks,

Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the “Unable to retrieve content from the provided URL.” you have been getting.
I would love to help you with this topic. The main issue here is that the URL in question will generate a .ics file, but is not technically a standard iCal feed URL per se (as opposed to a straight .ics of feed URL).
The solution here would be to provide a direct URL as opposed to a PHP based one that “adds an extra step” before providing the actual URL.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

I have a bit of an update on this topic which might be of interest to you.
After careful consideration and testing, we have decided to work on expanding the types of iCal formats we will support with our iCal importer plugin (including yours).
As such, a dev ticket has been opened. Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be notified as soon as it’s available!Thank you for your understanding,
Geoff B.
