ical export not working

    I’m trying to import ical events into a Google calendar but I keep getting errors

    Processed zero events.

    Failed to import events: Unable to process your ical/CSV file..

    If I try to import into my Apple calendar I get a similar issue.

    Hi Philip.

    Please provide the links to the iCal files you’re trying to import to Google Calendar and Apple Calendar.

    Thanks. I put the file in an iCal Validator and it reported the file isn’t valid.

    I believe the issue is that everything is on 1 line. There are no line breaks.

    Please only try importing valid iCal files.

    Hi Cliff,

    That’s all great but those iCal files are being generated by clicking on The Events Calendar export buttons. The average user can’t be expected to know how to (or be inclined to) open the file and edit it. It doesn’t make for a great user experience. This is clearly and issue and is more than likely affecting other users too.

    If this function in The Events Calendar Pro doesn’t work, then we’ll have no option to diable it until a bug fix is released.

    Whoops, I got thrown off thinking along the lines of iCal Importer, not exporting from TEC/PRO. Thanks for clarifying.

    I just tested an export from my local testing site and it’s not all on one line. (You can open iCal files in any text editor or code editor to see).

    Please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down what the conflict is that’s causing the export to be on all one line.
