The sole reason I paid for this add on was so that I could sync my facebook events with my website, it is the only function I use. Are you planning on giving refunds to those affected as I am now paying for a service that I am not receiving? Is there any chance this function will start working again soon? I am in the middle of a festival season of events and I need them to sync with my calendar urgently…
June 21, 2018 at 6:38 am #1558191Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Alexandre,
Thanks so much for reaching out!
Facebook recently announced a range of changes (https://newsroom.fb.com/news/2018/04/restricting-data-access/) to their APIs (the protocols we use to ‘speak’ to their servers and retrieve event information) which are having an affect on a number of our users.
We are currently figuring things out as they continue to evolve with the Facebook Privacy Policy. For now, the best places to check in on the status of our plugin’s access to Facebook are https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/ea-fb-privacy-policy/ and https://theeventscalendar.com/event-aggregator-status/.
Long story short, imports with Facebook are not currently working. This loss of functionality is not just with our plugin, but with any plugin that uses Facebook imports and this is determined by Facebook itself.
With that being said, if you are still interested in a refund, you can fill out the refund form https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/.
We really would like to work with you on this. Would you be interested in a license for the remaining time for one of our other plugins instead of a refund?
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime

In the meantime are you saying the facebook issue is a temporary one? If it is temporary then I might be happy to get another product but if its never going to work again there is no point for me keep the pro calendar.

We are hoping to restore functionality for Facebook imports eventually however I cannot provide a timeline for if and when this will happen.
Let me know your thoughts!
Thanks,
Jaime
