ParticipantI am looking for a super simple way my client can mark an event as “FULL”, as in they have hit capacity for that class.
I’m thinking changing the background color of an event so it can be differentiated from the others, or setting background to an image that says “NO OPEN SPOTS” or something similar. How is the best way to accomplish this?
I have been researching the event tickets plugin, would that be the solution? We don’t need to sell tickets online. But would that let me set a cap of attendees, and then change the presentation of the event in the events feed when at capacity?
I’m in need of the most simple solution possible, as my client will be setting these events as “FULL”… no editing custom CSS… I know I can augment styles with #post-1234, but that is not a solution that I can present to client. Thoughts? How have others tackled this problem? If you have links to other sites, and how they have done this, please share. Thank you for your help!!!

MemberGood evening Kyle and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.Basically, the simplest solution is a customization.
This would probably be done by customizing our views (you might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works).
You can read about that here: https://theeventscalendar.com/customizations/
If coding is not really your cup of tea, you could always hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
More specifically you will be interested in the following articles:

In other words, you will need to:
- Check if a ticket is present on a page
- Check the ticket stock
- Provide conditionals to display things differently if the stock is zero
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,
