How to use wordpress/events as your main static page

I want to use the events calendar with the filter bar as my main static page in the Twenty Six theme but that page does not show up as a page in the pull down list of pages I can use as a static page. How do I make a page like this that also contains the filter bar since [tribe_mini_calendar …] does not appear to display the Filter Bar

It is unfortunately not possible to do that simply for the moment.

The good news, is that we are working on expanding our Pro shortcodes to allow embedding full calendars in the page of your choice.

Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned!

In the meantime, you have 3 options:

1. Use a redirect (manually or through a plugin) of your home page to the /events URL
2. Try to do some template customization reading our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works. And the following article on how to include filters in your templates: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/understanding-the-tribe-events-bar/
3. Hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.

I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
