I realize this is a very rookie question, but … how in the world do I get the calendar to show up as a page on my wordpress site? I have the url … but the page is not letting me edit it, or post it. Help?
Hey Shell
I see that you have the The Events Calendar plugin installed and activated. http://mindfulvalley.com/events/ is the address to your calendar. It looks like you haven’t created any events yet. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/important-settings-events-calendar-events-calendar-pro/ is a good quick start to using the plugins.
Can you confirm that you downloaded, uploaded, and activated Events Calendar Pro as well? You may need to see the email we’ve sent you with a link for that.
Thanks
Courtney 🙂Hi Courtney,
I did upload and activate Events Calendar Pro … and … can see the page (http://mindfulvalley.com/events/ http://mindfulvalley.com/events/) and calendar when I’m working in my dashboard, but … it’s not allowing me to post the page publicly. I have the url … not sure what to do next, as EVENTS is not showing up in my menu in dashboard …
Help?

Hey Shell
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/new-user-primer-the-events-calendar-and-events-calendar-pro/#Add%20to%20Menu Can walk you through adding the calendar to your menu.
When you are in the admin dashboard, are you able to go to Events » Add New and walk through the steps at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/creating-an-event/?
Thanks
Courtney 🙂The Events is not showing up anywhere in the View All section, not even when I search for it.

Hey Shell
Can you share a screenshot of what you see at http://mindfulvalley.com/wp-admin.
Are there any plugins that may be installed limiting your access to see other settings/features? Do you have a web developer that might’ve configured something like this?
Thanks
Courtney 🙂Hi Courtney …
So what I’m guessing from what is written in the directions is that I can add the LINK to a page, but not the page itself in my menu bar … ? I’ve been through it a dozen times and can’t seem to find/add the page anywhere on my menu 🙁
I CAN add new events to the calendar …

Hey Shell
Are you looking in Appearance » Menu » Events » View All » “Events”? Adding this and saving should add the /Events page to your menu bar.
Thanks
