Could we try a few more things before we jump in? Since this is a matter of deleting content from your site, we’re hesitant to jump right in and do it for you manually.
Could you try following the Testing for Conflicts procedures prior to attempting to delete the events? When doing this, ensure that you have all other plugins deactivated and a default WordPress theme activated when you delete the events. This will help to ensure that there isn’t a conflict causing the delete function to not work as expected.
