How to bulk remove recurring events

I am trying to use this great plugin for both live as well as recorded training events. I tried setting up the recorded training events as recurring events and now have 1,800 of the same events in the back-end. How do I remove these in bulk?

Good question. If you head over to Events > Events, then hover over the first event in the series, you will see an option to “Trash Series” (screenshot) which will allow you to bulk delete all the events in that recurring series.

I’ll jump in here for Geoff since he’s taking a little time off this week.

Could we try a few more things before we jump in? Since this is a matter of deleting content from your site, we’re hesitant to jump right in and do it for you manually.

Could you try following the Testing for Conflicts procedures prior to attempting to delete the events? When doing this, ensure that you have all other plugins deactivated and a default WordPress theme activated when you delete the events. This will help to ensure that there isn’t a conflict causing the delete function to not work as expected.
