ParticipantI for the life of me can’t figure out how to add an event image after they have been submitted. There use to be a “Feature Image” area much like in a WordPress post but this seems to be removed in subsequent versions of Community Events.

MemberHi. Do you not see this on your Community Events form: http://cl.ly/2h2q0y0T1E22?
If not, please send me a link to your Community Events form.
Thanks.

ParticipantCliff, Adding a feature image is available on the community submission form but not in the dashboard. It used to be in the right column under “Tags” I do believe but it’s disappeared in subsequent upgrades. Is this a setting that got deactivated some how?

MemberThanks for the screenshot.
Please click “Screen Options” in the upper-right corner and see if Featured Image is an available “box”, like this: http://cl.ly/0X0L2x080E2w
If it’s not, I’d guess there’s a plugin conflict — in which case, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

ParticipantI was hoping you wouldn’t refer me to the “Testing for conflicts” as this is extremely tedious. Are there any known conflicts that I might try first?

MemberI understand Testing for Conflicts can be tedious.
Do you see Featured Image in your Screen Options?
If not, maybe these tips will help Testing for Conflicts be a little less tedious:
- at Plugins, see if there are any in “Recently Active” (hopefully none or few and you can remember or write down which ones – or take a screenshot for your reference)
- at Plugins, see all Active plugins, select all except ones by Modern Tribe, then bulk deactivate
- then test
- once you figure it out, activate several at once instead of one-by-one. I like to activate all the Recently Active plugins in alphabetical order, like A-F, test, G-L, test, M-Q, test… oh, that was it… so it was one of the plugins in M-Q. Deactivate M-Q one-by-one, testing after each and see if you can figure out which one it is. Then continue with U-Z from Recently Active.
- Of course, if it’s none of the plugins, try Themes too.
In your specific case, I’d especially look for the ones affecting the wp-admin editing screen. From you screenshot, I see ads, super widget, poll, contact form, and custom TinyMCE buttons, for example.
I hope this info helps.
