    HI,
On the site touchforbirth.com, when you look at the classes tab, there is a simple list of events people can register for.
When the events are added to the site, they automatically show up in this calendar.

This is a joomla site and I want to convert this site to wordpress and am looking for a way to do the same thing. I’m thinking if the events could be added to Woocommerce, and then automatically could be added to the calendar – that could easily be displayed in a format like this list, that would work.

The events don’t have to be added to woocommerce, as long as the events plugin could process payment and add them to a calendar list that could be displayed in a simple table like touchforbirth.com

Any ideas how to implement this with your plugins?

    Thanks,
    Evelyn

    Hello Evelyn,

Thanks for getting in touch — I hope you had a great weekend!

Our plugins actually do integrate with WooCommerce, but in the other way around: an event is created, then a ticket for it is created, that ticket becomes a product in WooCommerce, and WooCommerce handles the transaction for selling the ticket.

I’m not sure that is what you’re interested in doing, but here’s the plugins you would need to make it happen:

    • The Events Calendar (free) – This is our core plugin that allows you to publish events in WordPress and display them in a calendar format.
    • Event Tickets (free) – This plugin extends The Events Calendar by allowing you to create free tickets (like RSVPs) for your events. It also provides the foundation for the next plugin.
    • Event Tickets Plus – This extends Event Tickets so that you can create and sell paid tickets for events. As mentioned earlier, it integrates with WooCommerce so that the tickets you create in the event post editor become registered products in WooCommerce, which handles the cart and checkout functionality when someone purchases a ticket.

All this to say that the way events are displayed on the site will be different from what you linked to above because The Events Calendar has its own views (List and Month) for displaying events. I will not, however, that you can both customize any of the calendar template by overriding it or you can create your own calendar template using this guide as a starting point.

I should also point out that the first two plugins I listed above are completely free of charge. I would encourage you to install them and use them as a test to see whether they will be the right fit for your site. And, should you decide they are, then you can snag Event Tickets Plus and we offer a nice refund policy should it not work for you for any reason at all.

    Cheers!
    Geoff
