How do I update to 3.12?

For some reason nothing I typed in went through. I am trying to upgrade to Events Calendar Pro v. 3.12 from 3.11.1. My Events Calendar core plugin is already at v. 3.12. I tried downloading the plugin file and uploading it but that failed due to an existing file. Do I need to remove the older version of the plugin to apply the update?

Also, I got a message to enter the license key, which I did, but there was no auto update that I see.

Please advise.

And to setup the license in your site for automatic Updates follow this guide:

Finding and Inputting Your License Key

Make sure to click “Save Changes” after entering your license.

The automatic update might not show right away as it does not check on every load of the admin.
