Mine says Events Archive which just makes it sound like old events.

Good evening Earle and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.

We are sorry to hear about Event Archives displaying as a title on your website.
I would love to help you with this topic.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Your specific issue sometimes happens with certain themes (depending  on how they are built).

The first thing I would recommend is to head over to Events -> Settings -> Display and try different settings for Events Template (see if that helps).

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Good evening Earle,

Thank you for sending your system information.

I took at look at your website, but unfortunately was not able to see where the “Events Archive” tab displays.

Would it be possible to get an example URL or screenshot to pinpoint this ?

Secondly, if the issue is still present, could you please send a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

    Have a good week-end,

    Geoff B.

    Hey Earle,

    Thank you for the screeenshot.
I totally see what you mean.

This is actually caused by Yoast SEO which is adding the “Archives” part because technically speaking Events are using the Archive.php functionality of WordPress.

You could tweak your settings or add the following snippet in your theme’s functions.php: https://git.io/vX1L3

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
