ParticipantHello there,
I wish to add an event that has several dates. Each date it is the same event. People must be able to buy a ticket to as many of these dates as they wish.
I realise using the ‘Schedule Multiple Events’ command I can do this – but the events will all display separately, meaning that if someone wants to book tickets for more than one date, they have to book and buy each one separately.
Is there a way that I can create the event so that it displays once but allows people to select the date(s) they wish to book for at the same time (as opposed to booking each one separately)?
You can see my issue here: http://bookclubboys.staging.wpengine.com/events/ – these are all different dates for the same event. If someone wanted to buy two or three, they would have to make two or three separate bookings instead of one booking with two or three dates,
HELP!
Thank you.

KeymasterHi David,
Thanks for reaching out! Just to make sure I understand correctly, are you wanting the event to display once and then have a dropdown or date selector where people can select the date(s) they want to attend, similar to the “Child’s name” and “Telephone number” fields that you have now? Unfortunately there is not an out of the box way to do this; it would require a customization. If you’d like to give it a shot, our themer’s guide is the place to start! We also have a list of recommended developers that you could contact if you’d like to get help with the code.
Otherwise, I think your best bet would be to create the events individually…users can actually add multiple tickets from multiple events to their cart and then complete the checkout process just once, instead of having to go through the entire process each time they want to purchase a ticket for another date. However, they would need to click on each individual date in order to do so.
I do want to note that recurring events have limited support for tickets – tickets added to recurring events are actually added to theĀ series, not created individually on each instance of the event. So the tickets will appear on each of the recurring events, but if a user adds tickets from say three dates in that series to their cart, they will have the same ticket with a quantity of three – not three separate tickets, meaning that there would be no way to tell which date they were intending to buy the ticket for. We are working on improving this for the future, and I would recommend casting your vote for this feature request so that you can stay updated on progress. You could also submit your own request if the ability to select multiple dates on a single event listing is something that you’d like to see added in the future!
I’m sorry I don’t have a better answer for you, but if you have any questions or I’ve misunderstood what you’re looking for, please let me know!
Thanks,
Jennifer
