ParticipantHi,
I have an issue on registering a user at an event.
I’m using Event Tickets Plus plugin just to have a QR Code in our ticket email. I don’t know if you need this information to help me but I’m not using this plugin for an e-commerce solution. Here are the restrictions we have for event registration via ticket :
-
1 – There is always only one existing ticket for an event.
2 – In order to register to the event, the user need to be connected
3 – The user can’t register multiple times at the same event
4 – The user can only register himself for the event (The User ID have to match the User email)I was able to match all those restrictions by override the plugin templates but I was able to catch a way to register a user multiple times at the same event :
Let’s say I’m a connected user and I’m accessing a new event page where I’m not registered.
So on this page, I can register to the event only by clicking this button. Then the page will refresh and it’ll display another button to access to the ‘orders.php’ template page. But imagine that before I register to the event, I open the same page in another tab, I have now 2 pages with the same “Register to the event” button, and will be able to register myself twice to the same event.
I would like to know if I can hook just before the user try to register in order to check if his already registered.
If I can’t use hook because the plugin can completely change his architecture, how can I prevent the user to register multiple times to the same event?Thank you!

ParticipantHi Frederic,
Thanks for using our plugins!
Unfortunately, this kind of a request is beyond the scope of support we provide here on our forums. If you’d like help making this change, you should hire a freelancer (you can find some recommendations here).
The purpose of our forums is to support our plugins and their built-in features as configured with the latest version of WordPress, WordPress default themes, and the rest of our plugin suite. The vastness of the WordPress ecosystem, nearly prevents much beyond that standard.
Thank you for your understanding!
Best,
Shelby 🙂
