Hiding category in calendar view

Is there a way to hide a category in just the calendar view? Or perhaps even calendar and listing view, if easier.

To keep a clean calendar, what I’m planning to set up is a calendar view for all categories minus one category; and another calendar view for the category that is hidden in the main view.

What’s the best way to set this up?
