HELP. Why is it not easy to get the tickets for an event?

Recently I’ve been developing a website for a client and we are using Events Calendar Pro, Events Tickets Plus, and WooCommerce Subscriptions/Memberships.

We have configured it so that the WC Product post types are essentially the “tickets” for each event.

When I reviewed the structure of Events Tickets Plus I noticed it had support for WooCommerce tickets.

I also found a class in Events Tickets Plus called ‘Tribe__Tickets_Plus__Commerce__WooCommerce__Main’ and this class has a method called ‘get_tickets()’, which would be PERFECT except there is no obvious way of reaching that method OR class through any tribe methods available in any template.

Do I need to find out how to list these “tickets” the woocommerce way?

Do I need to initialize some instance of the Events Ticket Plus WC class so that I can access the ‘get_tickets()’ method?

Do I need to include some global variable that houses an instance of the class?

I’m pretty lost and could use some serious help.

We’ll be glad to answer your questions.

First off, if you don’t mind, in the future please post such a question in our Events Calendar Pro or Event Tickets Plus forums.
This forum is mostly reserved to pre-sales questions.

Secondly, just to set expectations, as you might know, the scope of our support is mostly to get our customers started on the right track and to help them in case of issues. We unfortunately do not provide complete support for customization, which is obviously what you are doing here.

With that in mind, my best recommended reading to get started our Themer’s guide.
This should allow you to get a sense of which file to look at to see how ET+ is “calling” the tickets and yes, it involves using WooCommerce’s methods among other things.

As an alternative, if you are still at a loss, you might want to consider to hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
