ParticipantI’ve got The Events Calendar Pro setup on a site and yesterday noticed that the Previous and Next month links at the bottom of the calendar no longer work. When you click on- to advance to the next month the wheel just spins but never loads. Also When we make a change in the admin and try to publish an update there is a BLANK page…. Please help I am losing business when a client cannot access the Calendar. Thanks

ParticipantHi Erik,
A support technician will respond here as soon as possible.
In the meantime, please note our support policy → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/what-support-is-provided-for-license-holders/
Our response times are one reply every 24–48 hours, and there is no “expedited” support feature that can be paid for or requested.
Additionally, it is currently the day before the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States, where most of our team is located; as noted in the banner atop these forums, this will lead to some even more delays in response times.
I do genuinely apologize for this but just wanted to set your expectations early.
Stay tuned for actual technical support!
Sincerely,
GeorgeNovember 23, 2016 at 10:44 am #1196657George
ParticipantHey Erik,
George here again. I tried accessing your events page and was indeed met with the blank page like you describe.
This issue and the other issues you mention are not ones that we can recreate ourselves, nor are other customers reporting these issues, so the issues are currently unique to your specific website.
So to help me investigate this more closely and try to spot the problems, can you get started here by posting your site’s complete, un-edited System Information to this thread? Here is how to do that → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

ParticipantThanks for this information Erik!
I’ve looked through your system information and don’t see anything outright problematic there. Also, we cannot reproduce these problems and have no other reports of these problems from other users, so what is happening on your site is unique to your site.
This unfortunately means that it’ll take a bit more time and effort to figure out what’s happening.
To get started on that project, I would recommend first doing the complete set of troubleshooting steps on this page → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/
After EACH STEP in this process, try to recreate the issues you describe: try to see if the “Previous Events” and “next Events” links work, and try to update events in the admin and see if the white screen shows up…
☝️ What do you find when you do these exact steps?
Thank you!

ParticipantNo it is not unique to his site. I had this just last evening after creating a child theme. I added the child theme and added just a couple of functions in the child theme functions.php and activated it. Worked fine on my desktop (chrome on windows 7) but then worked as described above on my mobile (chrome on android); it would just spin. I activated my parent theme FROM my mobile and it started working on my mobile. I then activated my child theme FROM my mobile and again it worked on my mobile platform. I retested on my desktop and then it was not working there. Again, I activated the parent theme (total by the way) and then activated the child theme and it started working on my desktop and my mobile (as of my last testing). This is not unique to his system as I recreated it last night when I made changes to my theme. Not sure what else might trigger this but it’s a nasty non-responsive bug.

ParticipantHi Thomas,
It sounds like your issues are arising specifically from your custom themes. To help us troubleshoot your issues, can you please open a new thread of your own here on the forums? Please include your system information as well so that we can help.
Thanks,
GeorgeNovember 29, 2016 at 1:43 pm #1199394Thomas Claffy
ParticipantThis turned out (I am 98% sure as it is resolved by removing that plugin) to be a conflict with IP GEO BLOCK. It was blocking wp-admin/ajax.php
November 30, 2016 at 10:24 am #1199887George
ParticipantThanks for sharing, Thomas! I would recommend removing that plugin, or contacting its creators to see if you can add an exception so that wp-admin/ajax.php is enabled in a way that won’t cause this conflict.
If you have further thoughts or questions, please open a new thread on these forums and we’ll pick up the conversation from there.
Best of luck with your project,
GeorgeDecember 22, 2016 at 8:35 am #1209524Support Droid
KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
