ParticipantHi
I’m getting the message when i try to import events

i suspect it hasn’t been auto importing like i though since i paid for license version
keeps trying to push paying for event aggregator onto me, which i don’t need or want
site is http://junglistnetwork.com/events
haven’t changed any settings, have i missed something?

KeymasterHello junglistnetwork,
Thanks for reaching out and for using our solutions. Let me try to help you with your issue.
I have checked your account and I see a license for Events Calendar PRO but I don’t see any Event Aggregator license. If you would like to run imports with Event Aggregator from Facebook, then you will need a license for that.
In case you mixed up the licenses at purchase, let me know and I’ll check how we can correct that.
Also, please share your system information with me so I can give you better support.
Looking forward to helping you solve this.
Thanks and cheers,

ParticipantHi Thanks for getting back to me, I really wanted to import events as i had been previously without the Event Aggregator ideally. I was doing this before I upgraded the Events Cal pro which i did for the map search feature.
Is there no way to import events now without the aggregator?

KeymasterHey junglistnetwork,
I’m afraid the only possibility to import without an Event Aggregator license is from a CSV file. You can do this under Events > Import. If you would like to import from other sources (Facebook, Google calendar, ical feeds, Meetup), then you will need to purchase an Event Aggregator license.
Note: this was the case also before Event Aggregator, with our now-retired Facebook importer and iCal importer plugins. Without those plugins you could only import CSV files.
I hope this clarifies. Is there anything I can help you with?

ParticipantSo is this becuase i updated and paid for the license and before that the old event importer you mentioned was working away still? I can’t afford to pay for 2 licenses to make one thing work, that’s ridiculous. I wouldn’t have purchased the evcal pro if i had known i couldn’t import events, what’s the point of it? I’m so confused and a little saddened, thought you guys were quite a good company, but that seems like a pointless double pay for something that you didn’t used to have to pay for. Sad times. Can i get a refund on the other one if i cancel it / stop using it?

ParticipantOr….. If i didn’t mind not having the map, would you allow me to swap to have aggregator and therefore be able to import and display events with only 1 payment?

KeymasterHello again,
I’m really sorry about the confusion about all this import stuff.
Doing any kind of import (apart from CSV) was also not possible before Event Aggregator, unless you have purchased one of our – now legacy – importer plugins. I have checked your account and I don’t see any licenses for any of our older importer plugins. So I’m not quite sure how you managed to import events without those plugins.
As said, without those plugins you could only import CSV files, which you can still do even without an Event Aggregator license. If you wanted to import more, you had to pay for it in the past as well.
I hope this helps further clarify the situation.
I totally understand if you don’t want to have 2 licenses if you don’t need all the functionality. I checked and I can exchange the Events Calendar PRO license for you to an Event Aggregator 100 imports / day license, which I already did. You should be able to find your Event Aggregator license key under My account > License Keys.
Please let me know if you have any more questions regarding this topic, I’d be glad to help.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi
thanks for the offer. But i am still a little confused. I had the plugin
The Events Calendar: Facebook Events
Import events into The Events Calendar from a Facebook organization or page.i was importing from facebook pages automatically every week. I never had the aggregator
could you tell me how this was possible?

KeymasterHi,
It’s possible you had The Events Calendar: Facebook Events plugin previously. However, in this user account of yours I don’t see any past or present licenses for that plugin. (I only see EDD Tickets and and Event Tickets Plus, all expired, and the current Event Aggregator one.)
It’s possible you have acquired that plugin through some other channel, without a license key. Support is only provided to users who have purchased a license from us to one of our premium plugins.
Since there is no license key on record for your Facebook Events plugin, there was no Event Aggregator license granted to you.
This is a scenario I can think of. I hope this make sense.
If you did purchase that plugin from us, then please send me your order number so I can check in our systems, or if you purchased it with a different user account, then share that with me.
Another possibility is if you still have the license key saved somewhere, then share that with meĀ in a private reply, so I can look that up.
Let me know if this clarifies.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi
Ok that makes sense. It was set up by our old web designer so he probably has the license details in his account, should i get him to take a look, would he have a free aggregator update possibly then?

KeymasterHey,
If he did have a valid Facebook Importer license when we launched Event Aggregator in The Events Calendar 4.3 on October 13, 2016, then yes, he should have received an Event Aggregator license.
