We run 3 sites…I’m trying to figure out how to hook into Event Tickets Plus but there’s nothing listed on: https://theeventscalendar.com/functions

I’m building a heads up display for our office of important stats from different analytics.
The centerpiece (since it squarely equals revenue) for us is to have ticket sales for upcoming events.

I see the function tickets_sold() in Global_Stock.php but that seems to be called from elsewhere. Are there any docs on the Ticket_Object I can read through?
Or…any other suggestions for how to pull that info?

    Hey Gary,

    Thanks for reaching out!

This is an interesting question, and unfortunately I have to admit that we don’t have many functions—if any—that would be handy in a simple, straightforward way for the tools you are trying to build.

I would instead recommend using the various product-report related functions of whichever eCommerce platform you are using to sell the tickets. So, for example, if you are using WooCommerce to actually sell the tickets, then WooCommerce itself is chock full of code related to generated various product reports. With this in mind, you could Google around and explore options for generating information based on your WooCommerce ticket sales.

I know that this response is a bit vague, and am sorry about that. Part of the problem is that we simply cannot help with custom coding projects—check out the “Product Support” section of this page for more information: http://theeventscalendar.com/terms

But, that being said, I’m still happy to try and help as much as we can here, so if you have more specific follow-up questions based on this first reply let me know! 🙂

    Sincerely,
    George

    George,

Yeah…I understand you can’t provide coding direction.

I use EDD, but obviously EDD won’t have the concept of ticket inventory as that’s specific to TEC and Event Tickets Plus.

How similar will the docs for EDD Tickets located at https://theeventscalendar.com/functions/ be to docs for Event Tickets Plus?

    Hey Gary,

Thanks for clarifying your eCommerce system—for the most part, my notes still hold true, and you can just swap in “EDD” wherever I said “WooCommerce.”

Event Tickets Plus does not have a full set of technical documentation like http://theeventscalendar.com/functions, unfortunately.

But there’s still the codebase of the plugin itself, which is the best documentation regardless of what would be available online! I would recommend exploring the functions and code of the free “core” plugin first to get a feel for things → http://wordpress.org/plugins/event-tickets

Start tinkering there, and if you are interested in exploring the code and such for Event Tickets Plus, it’s worth noting that we have a thirty-day no-questions-asked refund policy: if you buy Event Tickets Plus to explore its code and all of the functions and such offered by the plugin, you have thirty days from the date of your purchase in which you can request a refund any time and we will issue a 100% refund immediately. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/refund-policy/

    I hope these resources help!

    Sincerely,
    George
