Hi! Is it possible to set up custom fields in the event page to feed the JSON that makes up the structured data? I love that your plugin takes so much of the data from each event to put in the markup fields like venue, date and time, cost, etc. to make it easy for google to pull in the info. But I want to know if it’s possible to use the plugin to change the type of Event and add a field for Musicgroup or some other type of Performer. Out of the box, the plugin codes all events as Event, but is it possible to make it spit out MusicEvent by adding it to a field or adding a checkbox? Likewise, another field I would like to add to each event to make the event data a little more proper for google would be MusicGroup. The Event Title represents the group coming pretty well, and the Organizer field could be used for this, too, but that wouldn’t exactly be the right way to present the data to google. I didn’t see much about this on the forums, so I was curious. Thanks for your help.

BrendanDecember 8, 2017 at 3:24 pm #1401682CaseyGuestThank you for your reply, Brendan. I’m sorry if I wasn’t clear. My question is regarding your paid products. You have a couple. Do any of them offer any features or functionality like what I asked about?

Oh sorry, thanks for the clarification.
We use JSON for Linking Data in relation to events. You can see how our demo site turns up in Google Structured Data Testing Tool results. https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fwpshindig.com%2Fevents%2F
I would recommend incorporating https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-schemaorg-rich-snippets/ into your site for further schema markup as needed.
If you think that is something you would like as a feature I encourage you to visit our User Voice Page and either upvote an existing request or make a new request there.
You can suggest it it http://tribe.uservoice.com
Thanks,
