ParticipantIt seems that Google is crawling my site and pulling data to generate event information that comes up when one searches for my business. Unfortunately it is only pulling one recurring event and the time displayed is wrong. I took a look at the source code of my event pages, but I still don’t understand why Google is making this mistake or how I can correct it.

KeymasterHi Josh,
Thanks for reaching out!
As a first step, can you verify that you have the correct timezone set under Settings > General > Timezones? You’ll want to use the location here instead of the UTC offset. Then, can you go under Events > Settings > General > Time Zone Settings and select “Use local timezones for each event”? You’ll want to clear out any caching that you might be doing on your site after making these changes (if you are doing any server-side caching or using a plugin for caching).
Can you also share your full system info with me?
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantJennifer,
I have performed the changes you mentioned. I also manually updated Pro to 4.4.32. What next? I’m still seeing the same incorrect information on Google as before.

KeymasterHi Josh,
Thanks for checking that – I am checking with the team to see what else could be causing the times to be incorrect…I would recommend checking again over the next few days, as I’m not sure whether that info is updated immediately on Google or if it takes some time for the changes to appear.
I’ll get back to you as soon as I hear back from the team on further suggestions here.

ParticipantHi Jennifer,
Any more ideas? We may have to try a different plugin if we can’t figure out a solution because the misinformation is bad for our business.
