ParticipantI am running the stock twentyfourteen theme on my site. When I enable google maps in venues, I get a grey box where the map should be. I have disables as many plugins as I can without break our site and I cannot get rid of the problem. The link below demonstrates the problem –

MemberHey Fred,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing.
As I can see from here you are getting a specific error associated with your Google Maps div id:
“tribe-events-gmap-No (new) topics were found here! Note that you need to login to see our Forums.”
I believe that this is the result of a custom code or an external membership plugin and that’s the reason why Google Maps is not displaying as expected.
Can you please follow this tutorial to determine if a conflict is happening and find out what is causing it?
Let me know your test results or if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Regards,
Patricia

ParticipantHello Patricia,
Thank you for helping me. I have tracked the problem with Google Maps to a conflict with a plugin call bbP Toolkit. Here is the link the the plugins page on WP.org –
https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbp-toolkit/
This plugin is an important part of our site’s operation so I would really like to get the conflict resolved. Can you help me do this? If its on your end, that would be great. If its a problem with the bbP Toolkit, I would need to know the specifics of the conflict so that I could work with that developer.
Thank you,
Fred (AB1OC)

MemberHi Fred,
I’ve installed and activated both bbPress and bbP Toolkit in my own site and everything is working as expected (the map is displaying properly) while having these plugins enabled. I believe that a specific bbP Toolkit setup or customization in your site might be causing this issue you are experiencing.
I would suggest you to save a backup copy of your database and plugin files and after that start editing/changing it’s settings until your figure out what is causing this specific conflict.
Let me know if you need anything else in the mean time and I’ll be happy to assist!
Regards,
Patricia
