I just set up a venue and scheduled an event, but the google maps is not showing. So I checked other events and the map is not showing there any longer as well. I always check the boxes for ‘Show Google Maps’ and ‘Show Google Maps Link’. I cleared my cache and this did not make any difference. Help is appreciated.

I visited your site and checked the Javascript errors. (Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors)
It looks like you don’t have a Google Maps API key activated. You can view how to do that at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/setting-up-your-google-maps-api-key/.
Google recently required that all uses of their maps will need an API key, and that the user must list a credit card on file. The service is still free to use the map, but to cut back on abuse, they want a card on file. https://theeventscalendar.com/important-google-maps-api-changes/
Let me know if setting your API key resolves the issue.

Whew! I think I have it set-up. The maps are showing now. I would be grateful if you check again to see that I have done it correctly.
Should I also check this box “Use Latitude + Longitude”? In the past I only checked “Show Google Map” and Show Google Maps Link.”
I did not work through putting a credit card on file. From what I read they said this was only needed if there are many requests in a 24-hour period. We would not have that many requests. But if you feel I should still do this, I am prepared to.

Lat/Long need only be set up if you are experiencing map issues where Google doesn’t recognize the venue.
For the billing, it’s worth giving it a try without if you prefer, but I think they are pushing people more toward needing it.
We are starting to explore other map options besides Google due to this credit card need.
