Oliver
GuestI am think of using TEC for a soccer club website so parents can see their child’s games and practices, etc.
They need to be able to
1 Filter for the team an event types they need to see
2 Subscribe to the filtered calendar so just those events show win their Family Google, Apple etc Calendars on their phone and desktop.
Looks like 1 is no problem out I can find no reference to 2 on your site
Thanks!

MemberHi Oliver. Thanks for considering our plugin suite!
We have a demo site at http://wpshindig.com/ and you could use the Events Categories feature to put different events into one or more categories (e.g. U12, U19, 18-29, 30+, 40+)
Here’s an example category page from our demo site: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/
There’s an “Export Month’s Events” button on that view that is really this URL: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/tech-meetups/?ical=1&tribe_display=month (see the category in the URL?)
Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.
Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

GuestSo it looks like the answer is NO re # 2. We don’t want to export the events, we want to subscribe
so that users’ IOS or Android calendars on their phones update automatically if we change the event schedule – which can change every 15 minsThe whole process has to be automated we can’t have people in our office clicking buttons, let alone users of the calendar – they need to subscribe once and have a continually updating phone calendar.
We will have to look elsewhere it seems.

MemberOliver, I believe our plugin will work just fine for you. This screenshot is from https://support.google.com/calendar/answer/37100
Please let me know if you have any additional concerns.

GuestI am unconvinced:
The link you sho does not explain hoe to refer to the TEC calendar to subscribe, or obtain a suitable subscription url
This is what we need or equivalent
User views the Calender on a mobile device computer
They filter it to show certain categories of event only
There is a button on the same screens that says “Subscribe Google/Android” and another that says Subscribe “Apple/Iphone”
A TEC subscription is added to the calendar automatically or that can be done via very simple intructions
The subscribed calendar will reflect the filtering they specified
Once Subscribed the Apple/IOS or Google/Android Calender will update automatically, for ever.
fwiw: Time-ly can do all this, we are assured

MemberOliver, iCal files are in the standardized iCal format. Our URLs that generate iCal files can be read by Outlook, Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, etc.
You’re welcome to try it out with your own Google Calendar from our wpshindig.com site (notice the category-specific URL previously mentioned) — and/or you can install our free/core plugin and try things out for yourself if you want to try out some customizations like overriding the text or even the length of the iCal export (e.g. future 365 days’ events instead of just the current month’s events).
You could even create custom coding to list all Event Categories on a single page and provide each category’s iCal URL so they can subscribe to it with whatever instructions you want to write on your site.
Without getting bogged down too far into the nitty-gritty, you could use our plugins to accomplish what you’re wanting. You don’t even need the PRO upgrade.
Let me know if there’s anything more I can do for you.
