ParticipantWe set up two types of tickets and set up global stock. A couple of issues have cropped up.
1) We don’t see global stock on the event page: http://pearlbuckcenter.com/event/trivia-night/
2) When we sold a ticket the global stock level didn’t decrease. See attached file. Both tickets are set to Global stock mode: Use global stock.

KeymasterHi Tyler,
Thanks for using our plugins and welcome to the forums!
I’d be happy to help you with your questions.
We don’t see global stock on the event page
That is likely a feature of the theme you are using. To check this please switch over to a default theme like twentyseventeen and check if you see the ticket stock there.
This is how it looks with twentyseventeen: https://cloudup.com/cqFIBnqF1uV
When we sold a ticket the global stock level didn’t decrease. See attached file.
For this we need to check 2 pieces of information.
- What is your setting under Events > Settings > Tickets tab > WooCommerce Support section? (Can you send me a screenshot?)
- What is the status of the order? Is it “Processing” or “Completed” or … ?
With these information on hand we’ll be able to go further. 🙂

ParticipantI switched over to the 2015 theme and as you can see it does not show the global stock.
I’ve attached the WooCommerce Support settings.
The status of the order is complete, because I was testing to see if the stock would decrease when I changed the status from Processing. It didn’t decrease. We really don’t want to have to change the orders to complete as we don’t want an email to go out, and we cannot turn that email off because our WooCommerce store needs to utilize that email.
On a side note we were having issues with our site slowing down with the Event Calendar and tech support suggested that we disable WP_Cron. Would that effect lowering the global stock?

KeymasterHey Tyler,
Thanks for checking with twentyfifteen. I also checked on my local install with 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well, and the stock always showed for me, so we will need to dig further.
Do you maybe have a template override or some custom code in place that could influence this?
I would kindly like to ask you to go through our conflict testing guide and see if that brings any results.
Would it be possible to set up a test / staging site where we could play around without influencing the traffic of the live site?
The wp_cron shouldn’t influence the stock handling at all. Basically when a ticket is purchased, the stock should be immediately and automatically adjusted. I start to have a feeling that the 2 issues are connected.
If the conflict testing doesn’t bring anything, then as a next step I would disable, delete, then re-install all the calendar and ticketing plugins, so they are all fresh and new and see if that fixes it.
And a sidenote: I see that your Site URL and Home URL are different, plus one is http the other is https. Is there any specific reason for this? I’m only asking because that potentially can cause some glitches on the site – independent of the calendar.
I’ll be here waiting for the results.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
