ParticipantI purchased the pro version of this plugin before I found the threads mentioning all the problems it has being used in conjunction with the Headway Theme. That said, I have gotten it to function pretty well. The only major problem I am having is that the front end “View As” where the user can change the view from photo to week to list etc. and the date filter are not functioning correctly. The “view as” options don’t display at all and the “Date” box does not do anything if try to enter somehting. I have found a way to just make it not display at all so as not to confuse viewers however I would obviously prefer it if I could get it to work correctly. I did not have any luck finding this problem in other threads and so am hoping that there may be a solution. I did test whether any of my added coding to Headway was the issue but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Is there a way that this can be fixed?
Thanks for your help!March 22, 2016 at 10:14 pm #1092724Geoff B.
MemberGood evening Kelly and welcome to the Events Calendar Support forum!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced between the Headway theme and our plugins.
As you might have learned from the other threads, the main issue with Headway is the fact that it goes outside of standard WordPress best practices and conventions.
As such, we cannot support it for the moment. But, I recommend you add your voice to the following User voice feature request: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/5604166-integrate-with-headway-theme
With that in mind, from what I can see, one of the issues that’s preventing the Tribe bar (views, dates, etc) from working properly is the number of jQuery versions being loaded on the page by the plugin.
Simply put, they conflict with the default WordPress jQuery which in turn prevents the bar from working properly.
It might be a shot in the dark and I can’t guarantee anything, but I would try to play with different variations of the Events template setting found at Events -> Settings -> Display
Other than that, your best shot would be to hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
I wish I had a better answer for you, but for now it’s the best one I have.
Best regards,
Geoff B.

ParticipantThanks Geoff!
You are absolutely right, it was a conflict with the jquery code. I had added an extra jquery script, but cannot even remember why now, since nothing on my site is using it. I hadn’t even thought to check my scripts for a conflict so I really appreciate your reply and am glad it was such an easy fix!March 23, 2016 at 8:38 pm #1093248Geoff B.
MemberHey Kelly,
Wow! That’s awesome.
Kudos on fixing it!If you are up for sharing your tweaks and tricks to get Headway and our plugins to work nicely together for everybody’s benefit, that would be fantastic.
Otherwise, is there anything else I can help you with on this topic for now ?
Have a great day!
