Fresh Install Drop Down Menu Doesn't Show "Add Event" + Other options

<p>Hi Zed!</p><p>Thanks for your help! I’m pushing this information to the rest of the support crew so that we don’t loose site of the issue. I’m also going to put a ticket into our tracker to see if we can update the code base to play nice with modified role names.<br /><br />To answer your question you should be able to use the plugin with the custom role name by adding the capabilities to the role in your themes functions.php (sample gist). Or you could modify the addCapabilites function in the plugin’s lib/the-events-calendar.class.php file.</p><p>Please let me know if the above works for you and again thank you for pointing out this conflict!</p><p>- Matthew</p>

I just wanted to drop in and update you on the status of this issue. We are working on a fix, but we were not able to include it in our upcoming release (3.7). Correcting this problem is still important to us and we hope to have a fix done for a future maintenance release. We will do our best to keep you updated here on our progress.
