ParticipantI paid for the Pro Version, but it says I need to install the Free version. This is the message I get when I try to do that. I did install it a few weeks ago, and removed it because it wasn’t all visible. I don’t have a lot of experience with these plugins. The Pro did install, but I can’t find the free version on my site? Please help!
To begin using Events Calendar PRO, please install the latest version of The Events Calendar.
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/p3pnexwpnas02_data01/15/2076515/html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/
Plugin install failed.

MemberHi Maria
Can you check in Plugins » Installed to see if The Events Calendar appears and just needs to be reactivated?
Let me know if this works for you.
Thanks,
Courtney 🙂April 6, 2017 at 12:54 pm #1266185Maria

MemberHmm, this is an odd situation Maria.
Can you deactivate and delete Events Calendar Pro? The only thing you’ll lose in this is just needing to re-enter your license. All your data would remain.
Does The Events Calendar show as deactivated, or is it just not showing as installed? If you see it installed, activate it before redownloading Events Calendar Pro.
If you do not see The Events Calendar (free) in your plugins, you’ll have to delete it manually I’m afraid. This means logging in to your web server, going to your site’s files, viewing wp-content folder, then plugins, and then The Events Calendar and manually deleting that folder. To readd the plugin to your site, go back to the WP Admin Dashboard, Plugins, Add.
Looking forward to getting this resolved.
Thanks,

ParticipantThis may be a stupid question, but how do I find my site’s files on my web server?
April 7, 2017 at 10:10 am #1266666Courtney
MemberHi Maria
You’ll have to log in to your hosting account (not yoursite.com/wp-admin). From there, you’ll look for cPanel (most hosts use this). Then into your site’s folders from there. If this is a bit confusing, do reach out to your webhost’s support. Ask them to point you to your website’s wp-content/plugins folder. It can vary a little with each host’s dashboard to find this information.
Let me know if you get that sorted out.

ParticipantOkay, my host helped me delete it through Filezilla. It is working. So thank you!! One more question though. My Event Launch time is incorrect. How do I fix that?

MemberHi Maria
Glad that it is working again!
Are all other event times appearing as they should? Is the time displaying correctly on the event that the timer is linked to? https://blog.inthepinescamp.com/event/plant-a-tree-in-a-fellow-campers-site/
Can you check your time settings at Settings » General » Timezone?
Hoping we can get this resolved soon.
Thanks again,
Courtney 🙂April 17, 2017 at 3:20 pm #1270840Maria
ParticipantOkay I fixed that. Now something happened to my Tickets. I want people to be able to RSVP without logging in. I don’t have the logging in box checked under settings, but it’s still not working. Is there something checked in my general settings that’s wrong?

MemberHi Maria
Can you double check again at Events » Settings » Tickets » Login Requirements?
This should not be an issue with general settings.
If it continues, can you send me an updated System Info response as a private message?
Thanks,
Courtney 🙂May 10, 2017 at 9:35 am #1281723Support Droid
KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
