My client has been using Events Calendar Pro for a while now and is looking to start selling ‘Free tickets’ for the various events they have e.g. Yoga, Football, Waling Group etc

    Couple of questions
    1. Assume they will need Event Tickets Plus?
    2. As the events are free do we need to integrate with WooCommers?
    3. What versions of IE would you say your plugin works with IE10+? (I don’t have IE but they have asked the question)
    4. Is there a way to restrict access to the dashboard of the events so that only certain users can access this area. The scenario
I have is that the Yoga teachers runs a class selling 22 free tickets per week, she wants to print off her sign up users, maybe extend the number to 30 etc – but I don’t want her to tamper with the rest of the site…

    Also
I can’t work out how to stop ‘news’ and ‘Calendar’ tab being highlighted in the nav please see http://inspirelancs.org.uk/calendar/
Any tips welcome 🙂 (I am not a tec guy but can follow instructions)

And in the footer can I trun of the highlighting effect?

Hi Tim. Thanks for your interest in our plugins.

Event Tickets Plus is our paid add-on plugin that upgrades the functionality of our free Event Tickets plugin.

Event Tickets Plus enables you to sell tickets via one of our supported eCommerce platforms. The free plugin only enables free RSVP-type tickets (which are free and work without you needing WooCommerce installed).

You can view our roundup/comparison of all the eCommerce plugins ET+ supports.

Our plugin uses your eCommerce plugin of choice, but your eCommerce plugin isn’t displayed for shopping pages. Please reference our Making Tickets KB article (screenshots are from an install using WooCommerce) for an idea how to create tickets for an event.

Site visitors would purchase tickets from each event’s single page/view (e.g. example.com/events/rogers-day-at-the-zoo/) — if there is an RSVP to submit or ticket to purchase.

Event Tickets Plus does enhance the features of RSVP tickets from Event Tickets even if you don’t have WooCommerce installed.

For example, with ET+, the order confirmation email will include a QR code that can be scanned to “check in” someone at the door at the time of the event. You can read more at Tickets: Managing your orders and attendees.

You can see our Event Tickets Plus + WooCommerce demo at http://wpshindig.com/event/events-tickets-demo/. You can install The Events Calendar and Event Tickets free plugins yourself, and then you can test with all the browsers you want. However, I’d say the front-end display of the tickets form is pretty simple so should work with most browsers.

For the permissions… If you’d like to edit the default capabilities (who can do what), you may choose to consider modifying the behavior via custom code or possibly via a plugin like User Role Editor (we cannot guarantee its compatibility but it generally considered a reliable plugin).

Last but not least, we have a pretty great Refund Policy so you can buy one or many of our add-ons and thoroughly test them.

I hope this info helps. Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
