    I am Events Pro customer using free RSVP tickets, e.g., trident.gallery/presents/baba/

    As far as I can tell, no public attendee list is ever put onto the event page with free RSVP, therefore there is no option to hide it when configuring the ticket in the admin interface (e.g., “hide” option on screenshot at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/remove-tribe-attendees-list-container/ is NOT in my admin interface). But the now-meaningless checkbox for the user to opt out of the (non-existent) list is still offered. I know how to hide it, but it should never be displayed in the first place.

    As others have argued, there should be a global switch for the whole attendee-list feature, but meanwhile (and later when it’s globally enabled), behavior should be:

    with full ticket system, admin interface offers option to hide public list; when checked, no opt-out offered to user on event page, and tickets get internally tagged with “opt-out” true (so that if admin later un-hides the list, only those users who explicitly declined the opt-out get listed). When admin hide-list option is unchecked (i.e., do display the list), the user checkbox should *default* to OPT-OUT.

    with free RSVP ticket system, assuming the public list is not a feature of the package, admin interface does not offer option to hide the public list: system otherwise behaves as if that admin option were checked (i.e., no opt-out offered to users).

    Good evening Matt and welcome back!

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    We are sorry to hear about the unnecessary attendee list checkbox displaying.
    I would love to help you with this topic.

    You are right, when only Event Tickets is used, the option should not be there (unless it actually becomes a feature – in which case there should also be a feature to turn it off).

    In fact, there was already a ticket for that very purpose opened in our system.
    Unfortunately, I cannot commit to a release date at this point. But stay tuned, you will be contacted as soon as this is fixed!

    In the meantime, here’s how you could hide the unnecessary option altogether. Simply add the following CSS line to your WordPress theme’s code:

    .tribe-events-tickets-rsvp .tribe-tickets-attendees-list-optout {display:none !important}

    Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.
