The form drop down menus on the event submit page were not working, they were permanently dropped down. I read through the other discussions and found one which had a similar problem. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/venue-and-organizer-drop-down-field-open/ . I copied the code that your support member offered and pasted it into my own functions.php file and it worked immediately. This is great news, except that I found that it has now changed the sizing of the Event Calendar in my side bar widget, it is slightly too wide now. Can you help me? my website is at http://www.londoninvestmentweek.com/ …many thanks in advance. Simon

I’m not quite sure why that would have impacted on the width of the calendar widget (and it looks like it is filling the correct amount of space). It’s definitely possible to shrink it further, but it’s already pretty compact.
Have you taken a look at our Themer’s Guide which explains how to set up a custom stylesheet?

I changed to Skeleton Style and this seemed to fix the issue at first sight, but then the same issue arose. So I am now back on Tribe Events Styles in the settings, the sidebar calendar fits perfectly, but I am back to having the permanently open drop down boxes on the submit form for Venue and Organisers – http://www.londoninvestmentweek.com/events/community/add . I-m back to square one it seems but this form is pretty key so I´d really like to get these two forms fixed if possible? Thanks…
February 27, 2014 at 2:49 pm #110425BarryMemberOK, let’s go back to basics here – I suspect this might be a conflict (perhaps with a plugin called Connections) but it would be great to confirm:
- Can you deactivate all other plugins except for those by Modern Tribe
- Ensure your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date
- Switch to a default, unmodified theme
- Does the same issue occur on the submit form for Community Events?
