    Recently updated Event Calendar Pro and when you are looking at the list of calendar events under the calendar widget, the font or margin has changed and it doesn’t look the same. The weed day use to be on one line. I am enclosing a screen shot

    Hi Tammy,

    Thanks so much for reaching out!

    I see what you mean about the date going onto a second line.  You are welcome to use some CSS in order to make the font smaller so that it all fits on one line again.  You can add custom styles via the WordPress Customizer and use Google Chrome Developer Tools to target the headings you are looking to change.

    If none of what I’m saying makes sense, feel free to include a link to that page in your next reply, and I’d be happy to point you in the right direction in order to fix this.

    Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Tammy,

    Thanks for providing me with that information.  You can make the font size slightly smaller to compensate for that change, so that everything stays on one line.  You can try something like this:
    div.tribe-events-duration {
    font-size: 12px;
    }

    I hope this helps!  Let me know how it goes and if you need any further assistance on this topic!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    Hi Tammy,

    After some further investigation, it looks like your CSS stylesheets may not be loading.  This may be why you saw a change in the way that things were displaying.  This is often caused by a conflict with a plugin or theme.  I see these errors on your site:

    As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
    This is usually because of:

    1.    A conflict with another plugin

    2.    A conflict with your WordPress theme

    3.    A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating

    When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.

    A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.

    The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.

    Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.

    But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:

    1.    Make a backup of your database

    2.    Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)

    And one more thing to try: it is possible that your CSS isn’t loading because the widgets expect to be in a place such as a sidebar, without a panel builder.  I see you are using Visual Composer, which may be the conflict.  Would you also mind trying to create the same type of widget setup, but without placing it within their panel builder?  Let me know if you need any further clarification on this.

    Let me know how it goes!

    Thanks,

    Jaime

    HI Jaime,

    Thanks for your response.

    1. The calendar was perfectly fine for a very long time, until I updated the latest Event Calendar Pro update. So there wasn’t a past conflict with any other plugins. I just update your plugin that day and since then, there has been the problem.
    2. Your error picture you posted won’t open up larger for me to see what its saying.

    Hi Tammy,

    I’m sorry to hear that you are still having this issue, since updating Events Calendar PRO.

    Here is the error, so that you can take a better look:

    Can you confirm that CSS is not loading anywhere?  In other words, are you able to update any styles on your site, besides the sidebar where the mini calendar is?

    Please let me know!

    Thanks,

    Jaime
