Dien
ParticipantHi,
I noticed that on my site (with pro version and filter bar)
http://www.subdomein2.semiography.com
on the events page, in Safari and Firefox, ( on MacOsX) the filterbar stopped working. It used to work fine.
Is it possible it has something to do with the latest update of the pro plugin?
Thanks in advance,
DienJanuary 20, 2016 at 2:24 am #1059014Dien
ParticipantSorry about the title; when I started typing this used to be so; but after activating theme twenty-four, the filterbar reappeared and stayed after activating my own theme again.
But also in Twenty-four the functionality was gone in Safari and Firefox.January 20, 2016 at 4:38 pm #1059526Barry
MemberHi Dien,
I’m sorry to hear you have hit up against some difficulties.
Could you share your system information by private reply? Sometimes that is useful when diagnosing problems like this one.
I also notice that it appears not to work as expected when I test it with Google Chrome, it just won’t filter – though, interestingly, the reset link appears to work.
Besides testing with a default theme have you also tried deactivating other plugins as described in our troubleshooting guide?

MemberSo things are just slightly out of sync there – can you update Events Calendar PRO to the latest version and does that help with this issue?

ParticipantHi Barry, I did update the pro plugin about 7 or 10 days ago so at the moment it is the latest version.
I didn’t notice when the filterbar stopped working but I wonder whether it is ever since the update?January 21, 2016 at 7:01 am #1059944Dien
ParticipantHi again, and I just noticed that in Safari, the filterbar is not showing up anymore again (see entry nr 2 of this thread).

MemberHi Dien!
May I ask, is this a test site? If so, would it be possible to deactivate all other plugins (except for ours) and switch to a default, unmodified theme like Twenty Sixteen so I can take a look at the problem under normal conditions?
Can you also confirm which version of Safari you are using?

ParticipantHi Barry, sorry I didn’t get back more early.
Yes this is a test site but because I was a bit in a hurry, I rebuilt the entire site in http://www.pegd.nl. The filterbar worked fine until a certain point of rebuilding the website.
This is what happened: the filterbar disappeared after installing the plugins wp-print or wp-email, after working in its settings and save the permalinks. Therefore, I deactivated and removed the plugins but the filterbar didn’t reappear; I resaved the permalinks; switched to 24; deactivated all events calendar plugins and reactivated them but the filterbar did not come back.
I am worried i’ll have to rebuilt the whole site again!I hope very much that you can help.

ParticipantI am using Safari 9.01
In Firefox 43.0.4 the filterbar is showing but is not working, also after hitting enter
In Chrome Version 48.0.2564.97 the filterbar is working after hitting enter; auto search is not working.February 1, 2016 at 8:23 am #1065791Barry
MemberThanks Dien.
So on the test site, would it be possible for you to deactivate all other plugins (except for The Events Calendar and Filter Bar) and switch to a default, completely unmodified theme such as Twenty Sixteen then let me know so I can take a look while the site is in a more ‘default’-like state?
Thanks!

MemberGreat. So – setting aside the fact that you have to manually click on the filter button (as auto-refresh is turned off) – that seems to be working as expected for me across a range of browsers.
Can you confirm the same?

ParticipantHi, yes the filter bar is visible and works in all three browsers now after clicking the ‘add’ button; in chrome no auto search anymore.
February 1, 2016 at 11:57 am #1065918Barry
MemberIn chrome no auto search anymore.
Auto-search (live refresh) seems to be turned off at the moment.
Can you visit Events → Settings → General then check the box next to Use Javascript to control date filtering and save the page?
