ParticipantHello!
I’m looking for a way to:
1. Disable our Community Events (that people submit through the Community Events form) NOT show up on our regular Events calendar, and
2. Have a calendar that ONLY shows Community Events that people submitted through the Community Events form.
Can you assist me in doing this?
Thanks!

MemberHi, Lori. Our plugin creates one master calendar, but you can create the appearance of multiple calendars by using Event Categories.
Examples:
- main/master calendar where all the site’s events appear: http://wpshindig.com/events/
- WP Meetups category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/wp-meetups/
- Learning category calendar: http://wpshindig.com/events/category/learning/
There are additional methods and documentation at our Can You Have Multiple Calendars? KB article.
Please let me know if this clarifies things for you.

ParticipantThank you!
I checked out that article, as well.
Is there a way to use the [tribe_event] shortcode to include multiple categories?
So, if the Parent Categories I want to include are Faith, Sacraments, Community, and Serve, could I have a calendar with any of those events (or any of the events under those parent groups) – but not “Community Submitted” category?
Thanks!

MemberAt this time, the tribe_events shortcode can only accept a single Event Category.
You could request this as a new feature at our plugins’ UserVoice page.
This allows others who are interested in that feature to easily voice their support. We frequently review suggestions there to find out which ones are popular, then we implement as many of them as we can.
If you post it / find it, feel free to link to it from here in case anyone comes across this forum thread in the future.

MemberI took a closer look at those 2 ideas and merged them into 1.
Also, neither of those is really what you were wanting so I created this new idea: https://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/17455246-tribe-events-shortcode-support-multiple-categories
Please add your vote to it.
