InactiveHello EC team,
We built a site for our local parks department recently and used EC Pro, the Filter Bar and iCal importer to build their calendar.
We almost went with another plugin, but the designer spent time using this one so we went ahead and bought the licenses.Unfortunately, we have some regrets. The iCal importer seems to always have issues auto-updating, the Filter Bar doesn’t filter, and the venues it pulls in are repetitive. They basically need to be able to control it all through Google Calendars.
The only way I see that happening is if Events Calendar can also pull in image attachments and place it as the featured image. So first question is, can you tell what’s wrong with the iCal importer as to why it won’t regualrly import? (It ran the first time)
Second, why isn’t the filter bar filtering?
Third, is this plugin viable for what they need, or should we look elsewhere? Thanks!

MemberHi,
Thanks for using our plugins. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
iCal
For the import issues can you confirm your WordPress Cron is running on the site? This is required for the recurring imports to work. Also are you importing from multiple calendars with similar venues or is this one iCal feed you are importing from? Can you provide some the iCal links in a private reply?
As for the venue names I do see some duplicates, but the vast majority are also slight variations of the name such as someone included and in the name and another user &. The iCal Importer can only detect duplicates if they are an exact match of the title.
Filter Bar
For the filters not working it looks like a javascript conflict. Can you please follow our testing for conflicts guide:
And see if that can narrow down the cause of this.
Let me know what you find out.
Thanks
