featured image as (full- width) background image on single-event page

sorry i have to come back to this.
i’m referring to this post

i want my featured image in full width in (in the background) on the single event page. i my case for example

the solution in the referred post did not work.
for better understanding i uploaded a picture. hope this describes it understandable.
