ParticipantIt seems I can no longer create new recurring events without an out of memory fatal error (referencing Recurrence.php on line 93). This is the 2nd major issue to arise recently, with the other being the plugin not adjusting with the time change, so since time was of the essence I had to quickly split series and change their times manually. I’d love help with both, but the recurring event issue is a huge problem for me right now with trying to schedule Christmas services. It shows up on the site as “recurring” but only with one instance (6 more are scheduled), and trying to edit and resave the event generates that PHP error.

MemberHey Becky,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m really sorry to hear that you are having problems with your calendar. Let me help you to solve this!
To get started, could you please share your system info with us?
Also, could you please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and send us any messages you see while trying to save your recurring events? All WP_DEBUG messages will be stored in a debug.log file in /wp-content.
In the meantime, I would recommend you to check your server’s PHP memory limit and ask your hosting provider if it is possible to increase it.
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantHi Patricia,
Thanks for you assistance. I was still seeing some of the symptoms on the existing event after applying several theme updates pushed out today, but tried a new test event and it worked. So I deleted the other event, recreated it, and all is working now. Guess it was an Avada update issue, based on timing?
Hoping DST is corrected as well, but will have to wait until Spring 😉
Thanks,

MemberHi Becky,
I’m glad to hear that recreating the event helped you to solve the problem! It’s possible that you had a plugin-theme conflict that was solved after the update.
If you have any other questions at all please feel free to let me know and I’d be happy to help as best I can!
Cheers,
Patricia
