ParticipantPurchased PRO version today, installed the plugin (via FTP),
required to upgrade the Event Calendar plugin to version 4.0.5,Upgrade results in :
Fatal error: Call to private Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Section::__construct() from context ‘Tribe__Events__Pro__Customizer__Section’ in /htdocs/public/www/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/Tribe/Customizer/Section.php on line 116

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having. I can help troubleshoot this with you.
I am not seeing any other reports of this issue and not able to duplicate on my site.
To bring back the site please delete Pro by ftp and try uploading the zip file through plugin uploader in WordPress.
If the issue continues do you know what version of php you are using and WordPress?
Also, can you please provide your system information from here:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Let me know and we can go from here to resolve this.
Thanks

Participantok, deleting the PRO directory brought me back online. Buys me time to do some more checks.
versions:
WordPress 4.4
MySQL 5.0.96using the plugin uploader in WordPress, that has never worked and same for the automated updates. I’m always using the manual upload via FTP to add/delete/update/upgrade.

MemberOk how strange if the auto updates and the uploader do not work that sounds like a server issue, are you able to ask you host about fixing that?
Thanks for the information about the WordPress and MySQl are you able to find out about PHP?
Also, with just The Events Calendar active can you please provide your system info per this guide in a private reply:
https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/
Thanks
