Facebook import – No API/URL option?

    Hi.
    Our NGO has used the Facebook Events Calendar for a long time and have been very happy with it. We have now switched to the Events Aggregator, but when we try to fill in the Facebook information, it wants us to connect to one of our personal Facebook accounts.
    As we are an organisation, we do not wish to link any of our coworkers’ personal Facebook information to the oranisation’s website.

    In your “Introducing Event Aggregator” video at https://theeventscalendar.com/product/event-aggregator/ you can clearly see a URL being typed in, in regard to a Facebook import (at mark 00:35). This is what we expected we could do.
    Instead it says “Please log in to enable event imports from Facebook” with a “Log into Facebook”-button.
    Have we missed something? Forgot to enable/disable something in the settings? Or is a URL-based Facebook import not possible, despite what it looks like in your video?

    Thank you for reaching out to us!

    I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing: let me help you to solve it!

    You need to connect to Facebook for Event Aggregator to work properly: once you insert a valid Facebook token (under Events > Settings > APIs), you will be able to access the exact same options as demonstrated in our “Introducing Event Aggregator” video.

    Since you don’t want to link any of your coworkers’ personal Facebook accounts to your website, I would suggest you to create a new separate Facebook account specifically for this purpose.
